Based on the latest Toyota Hilux and Fortuner ANCAP testing, it can be extrapolated that the new Fortuner GRS scores a 5-star safety rating. The Fortuner scored a 95% front passenger, 84% child protection and 88% pedestrian rating. However, when it comes to safety systems, it is the additional equipment that nets the Fortuner a higher star rating.
