The Chery Tiggo 7 Pro is the middle child of the Chery family, slotting in between the Tiggo 4 Pro and Tiggo 8 Pro. Comparable with the likes of the Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta, Mitsubishi ASX, and Suzuki Vitara, the Tiggo 7 Pro is the one for those looking for a step up from the compact crossover segment while not breaking the bank in the process.
The Chery Tiggo 7 Pro is available in two different versions. These are largely just trim specification differences and the mechanicals remain the same for both the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro 1.5T Distinction and Chery Tiggo 7 Pro 1.5T Executive.
Both are powered by the same 1.5-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder engine that produces 108 kW and 210 Nm torque. This engine is paired with a CVT gearbox that has 9 steps programmed into it to prevent the 'elastic band' sensation that one often experiences with a CVT. This then sends power to the front wheels.
Interestingly, Chery hasn't published their models' acceleration or top speed figures, leaving us to wonder how fast it actually is. Digging a little, we're led to believe that the Chery Tiggo Pro will do the 0 to 100 km/h sprint in a sprightly 9.7 seconds as it makes its way onto a top speed of 185 km/h.
