GWM's Haval H6 is a crossover SUV and one of the most popular models in the local GWM range. At the time of writing, the last update we received for this vehicle was in 2025, with notable highlights including a sleeker design, improved safety, enhanced technology, and powertrain updates. The H6 exudes an air of elegance, and it commands a presence on the road. Perhaps you're not looking for elegance and prefer something more on the racy side; this is where the H6 GT fills that gap. So with this in mind, what are the differences between the H6 SUV and H6 GT?
H6 SUV
One thing that stands out with the H6 is its exterior design, which speaks of opulence with a large chrome-clad grille. The LED headlights flank the grille, and the chrome garnish extends down the bumper. The lean shoulder line transitions into the rear, which, compared to the front end, is more minimal. The crowning Infotainment centre inside measures at 14.6-inch and is paired with a 9-speaker Amor sound system. You'll also find the latest and greatest in ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), along with a 540° view camera and a 5-star ANCAP safety rating.

H6 GT
While the underpinnings of the GT are shared with the H6 SUV, GWM Haval has taken some liberties to make the H6 GT a bit racier. However, despite going a sportier route, GWM Haval hasn't compromised on the H6's comfort and practicality. You still get the same sort of plush interior. The technology front hasn't been skimped on, with a 12.3-inch infotainment centre. Safety-wise, there's still a 5-star ANCAP rating, along with next-level ADAS.

What are the differences then?
Body Styles
The H6 SUV follows the standard SUV 5-door design, whilst the H6 GT is a coupé-style SUV. In an effort to be sportier, you can also notice a distinct design language. The H6 SUV is more executive, while the H6 GT is sportier, with less chrome; it features sharper front-end aerodynamic cues. The wheel designs are different, but they are still finished in the same colour scheme. Their rear ends are different, also thanks to the body style differences. There's more rear spoiler real estate with the H6 GT. Adding to the rear trims are the faux tailpipe trims.
Powertrains
While both of these vehicles employ both ICE and Hybrid powertrains, their states of tune differ. While H6 SUV engines are no slouches, the H6 GT in PHEV form does breathe some fire.

Cabins
The H6 SUV features a more executive cabin with distinct seat styles, minor variations in cabin trimmings, and different infotainment centre screens between the two models. The seating in the H6 GT, instead of being full leather, opts for Alcantara and 'GT' lettering embroidered into the seat back.
