The VW Amarok is back and looking better than ever with brand-new styling on both the exterior and interior. While most of us might want to get the PanAmericana or Aventura trim, these are priced right at the top of the range. However, there are a few derivatives that are considerably more affordable and we will be listing the cheapest option here.

But if this example is still too expensive, even after you get an Instant Offer on your car and sell it. Why not search for new or used Volkswagen Amarok models on AutoTrader to find the best deal for you?

Most affordable VW Amarok derivative

Unless you consider a used example of the previous generation VW Amarok, the most affordable new Amarok is the entry-level Volkswagen Amarok 2.0TDI 110kW in a double cab configuration. This variant is aimed more towards customers that are looking to use the Amarok in a more utilitarian manner and, as such, omits some of the luxury items found on more premium derivatives.

This model, which will set you back R 599 000, comes with unpainted bumpers and 16-inch steel wheels but still retains LED headlamps and daytime running lights. On the inside, customers can expect cloth upholstery and more plastic touch surfaces for a more rugged interior. Volkswagen does include a touchscreen infotainment system with telephony.

As for the safety features, VW included ABS brakes, a stability control system, a hill-start assist system and no fewer than seven airbags as standard equipment.
