The latest generation Amarok dials in the off-road and lifestyle factor more with a long wheelbase and boxy design. The current generation Amarok is now available in both single and double-cab formats. You also get an upmarket interior with a mix of digital and analogue controls. As a package, it's ready to rumble with the big boys.

Does it come in automatic though?

The short answer: Yes! Yes, it does. The longer answer is yes, but... The entry-level Amarok only comes with a 6-speed manual transmission. However, the Life, Style, PanAmericana and Aventura trim levels come with either 6-speed or 10-speed automatic gearboxes to go with either a 2.0 BiTDI or 3.0 V6 TDI engine. These trim levels can be had with Volkswagen's 4MOTION all-wheel drive systems. If you're keen on an Amarok after reading this, you can search AutoTrader for the latest used and new offerings.
