The anecdote of why Ferruccio Lamborghini decided to build sports cars is widely known and, like the Italian models, much loved by automotive enthusiasts. Not only does the rich history, style and performance of the vehicles contribute to the premium price that Lamborghinis demand, but also the materials and manufacturing processes involved in the production of the exclusive models.
However, if you are in the market to own a Lamborghini but have a budget to adhere to, the Italian automaker does make a slightly more affordable and practical model than some of its sportscars and supercars.

Lamborghini Urus
The Lamborghini Urus was first unveiled in 2017, however, isn't the Italian marque's first attempt to create a more utilitarian model. Enthusiasts will know that amongst exotic car manufacturers, Lamborghini is one of the first to make an attempt at a vehicle that could take on the road less travelled in the shape of the LM002.
The Urus, not only offers a lot more refinement and style when compared to the older LM002, but it also provides more power from a smaller and more efficient powertrain. Where the LM002 managed to produce 309 kW and 500 Nm of torque from its 5.2-litre, V12 petrol engine, the Urus develops 478 kW and 850 Nm from its 4.0-litre, twin-turbocharged, V8 petrol motor.
These performance figures result in the Urus being able to sprint from 0-100 km/h in just 3.6 seconds and on to a top speed of 305 km/h. Impressive considering its 2200 kg kerb weight and the fact that it can accommodate up to five passengers and 616-litres of luggage.
