Although not the same type of parallel system found in these vehicles, it is still subject to the rigorous technical specifications that Toyota demands. What the Toyota Hilux warranty covers

All Toyota Hilux Raider models come standard with a 9-service / 90 000km service plan and a 3-year/100 000km warranty. The warranty covers mechanical or electrical failure or malfunction due to manufacturing defects or wear and tear.

Toyota also offers an 8-year / 195 000km warranty on the hybrid drivetrain

Customers can additionally purchase service/maintenance/warranty extensions via the comprehensive Toyota dealer network (220 outlets)

What is a mild hybrid (MHEV) car?

The conditions of this warranty shall not apply to:


-A vehicle subjected to negligence, misuse, ignorance, accident, alteration or modification.
-A vehicle serviced or repaired other than by an authorised Toyota distributor or dealer.
-A vehicle which has been subjected to any form of competition.
-Normal service and maintenance costs per service schedule and the replacement costs of service items.
-Problems arising from using parts and accessories other than Toyota Genuine Parts and approved Accessories may arise.
-The Toyota Service Plan does not cover reconditioning and adjustments.
-Vehicles not maintained and serviced per the prescribed maintenance schedule by an authorised Toyota distributor or dealer.
-Any components listed under the Owner's Obligations section regarding service, maintenance and repair.
-Any consequential cost or damage resulting from a component failure.
-Damage caused by operating the vehicle using the incorrect type or grade of fuel (e.g., petrol instead of diesel).
-A vehicle that has been involved in an accident.
-Any consequential damage related to the fitment of a towbar and/or towing. This warranty is expressly in place of any other warranty, expressed or implied, obligation or liability of Toyota South Africa Motors (Pty) Ltd. or its authorised Toyota dealers. Regarding Toyota's responsibility and liability, these warranty terms are only valid and applicable to vehicles sold, registered and operating in South Africa, Namibia, Lesotho, Swaziland and -Botswana. The warranty period is not extended due to any repairs or replacement during the warranty period.

Transfer of warranty

The warranty on the vehicle is transferable should the vehicle be sold, provided that all prescribed services have been carried out in compliance with the warranty terms and conditions.
