BAIC
BAIC seems to have a solid product in the Beijing X55, which the brand will be producing at its Gqeberha-based facility this year having previously built products such as the D20 and X25.
BMW
Having built the 3 Series at its Rosslyn facility for decades, in more recent times the Bavarian marque has shifted its local focus to the X3 SUV.
Ford
Ford recently began production of the new Ranger bakkie at its Silverton facility, however, the Everest and Ranger Raptor are now built in Thailand as Ford has shifted focus to both the Ranger and Volkswagen's Amarok, which the Blue Oval now also builds.

Isuzu's all-new D-Max, which shares its underpinnings with the Mazda BT-50 is again built in Gqeberha.
Mahindra
As Mahindra's second-biggest base of operations outside of India, the local production of the brand's popular Pik-Up just outside of Durban is a big deal for both the brand and our economy!
Mercedes-Benz
The C-Class from both Mercedes-Benz and performance wing Mercedes-AMG is produced in Gqeberha and exported around the world.
Nissan
Nisan produces the Navara in Rosslyn, but is also the only manufacturer locally producing a compact 1-ton workhorse in the form of the NP200.
Toyota
Toyota is constantly South Africa's top-selling automotive brand and produces four products at its Prospection plant, namely the Hilux, Hiace, Corolla Cross and Corolla Quest.
Volkswagen
As a frequent leader in passenger car sales in SA, the locally produced Polo and Polo Vivo are very popular products.
