Safety equipment on board the new Ford Territory
The new-generation Ford Territory is back in SA after many years, equipped with the latest safety technology and a 5-star safety rating from the Chinese crash-testing authority, C-NCAP.
The Territory slots between the Puma and the Everest and offers Ford-loving South Africans a generously specced mid-sized SUV option at a reasonable price; the entry-level model offers great value.
We subjected the Territory to a proper road-trip review that you can read about here.
Ford Territory engine and drivetrain
A peppy 1.8-litre powers the Territory turbocharged EcoBoost engine mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. It's front-wheel-driven but offers a handy Mountain drive mode for surfaces slightly more challenging than the average dirt road. Road clearance is 190 mm and ample space for rear passengers, making it a great car for families.
The lineup has three models: The Ambiente, Trend, and Titanium.
You can watch Chad's video review of the Territory here.
