Buying the most affordable Territory with a service plan
We reckon the entry-level Ambiente model at R590 000 is a sweet deal, as it's significantly more affordable than the Trend, plus it's well-equipped. Also, the service plan is well worth the R14 000 you're shelling out, and it's already included in the R590k.

Putting our car finance calculator to work
Option 1
For the purpose of this exercise, let's say you are putting zero deposit down, zero trade-in, no balloon (we do not recommend!), over a 72-month repayment period, at an estimated interest rate of 13.75%.
Your monthly repayment will be R12 079, the total interest paid will be R279 655, and your total repayment will be R869 655.
Option 2
Let's imagine you own a car but would like to trade it in. Its trade-in value is R300 000, and you're opting to pay off your new Territory over a more sensible 54 months.
Your monthly repayment will now be R7 232, your total interest will be R100 519, and your total estimated repayment will be R390 519. This is the wiser way to go about things if you have a car to trade in.
Option 3
In option three, we're still using the Ambiente model. We're putting down a R250 000 deposit and repaying the Territory over 60 months.
Our monthly repayment is now R7 867, the total interest paid will be R132 032, and the total repayment will be R472 032.
We invite you to use our car finance calculator to play around with the different variables, but if you plan on trading in but don't know the value of your car, let us help you here.
