The Toyota Starlet was first introduced locally in 2020 and due to its low price point and practical body style, has since taken the market by storm. The entire model range, of which there are five derivatives, all come fitted with a 1.4-litre, naturally-aspirated, 4-cylinder petrol engine that is capable of 68 kW and 130 Nm of torque.
Fitted with the 5-speed manual gearbox, Toyota claims the Starlet should return an average fuel consumption figure of 5.1 L / 100 km, however, variants fitted with the 4-speed automatic transmission are claimed to return 5.4 L / 100 km. The model is quite practical as it offers a spacious and well-specified cabin with five seats and a 345-litre boot.
