Top 5 Mercedes-Benz AMG reviews on AutoTrader

This German automaker keeps wowing us with their selection of premium cars, and our readers adore the brand. Our X-Class content, specifically, proved that everyone was dying to find out more about Merc’s new designer bakkie. Here are five Mercedes-Benz/AMG reviews on AutoTrader, in no specific order, that enjoyed plenty of attention.
1. Mercedes-AMG GT S - Only purists need apply
Chad Luckhoff was in the fortunate position of piloting the Mercedes-AMG GT S around Jozi for a week, and had the chance to experience this superb piece of German machinery at full force. He writes: “...it's nearly impossible to trundle around in the GT S in a sedate manner. It's happiest when having its neck wrung, on the ragged edge of traction and sensibility” ! A highly entertaining read.
2. Mercedes-Benz X-Class - it’s all about the feel behind the wheel
“Reaction to the X-Class and its unfolding story is either ‘take my money! or ‘It’s an overpriced Navara’. Armchair experts are falling over one another to peddle their assumptions.” We travelled all the way to Chile to take the production model of the X250d for a spin.
3. Mercedes-Benz X-Class - A premium player has joined the game
“Deeply rutted and covered in loose rock and gravel, the relatively short distance of 15 km took us just over four hours to complete. The X-Class solidly proved that it may have a three-pointed star on the grille, but it’s no softie”, writes Lawrence Minnie, who attended the local launch of the eagerly-awaited Mercedes-Benz double cab bakkie in the Western Cape.
4.Mercedes-Benz S500 Cabriolet - Classy ladies go topless too
“The Mercedes-Benz S500 Cabriolet is the car that many, many people fantasize about owning. And she’s not just absolutely gob-smackingly beautiful, she’s also smart as a whip, albeit on the hefty side. But she does not look it – and it’s all sculpted, lean muscle mass.”
I get to spend a week in a car that fulfills a lady’s every fantasy.
5. Mercedes-Benz E300 Cabriolet AMG line
“There's a definite sense of occasion about the Mercedes-Benz E-Class Cabriolet, especially when it's kitted out with all manner of AMG-line paraphernalia”, writes Martin Pretorius. He also states that it’s a “hugely advanced car, with a plethora of semi-autonomous driving features and the latest safety and information technology hidden under its skin.” Click to find out if this could be your next Cabriolet.
