1. Engine
The Mitsubishi ASX is available with only one engine. It is powered by a 2.0ℓ MIVEC engine which puts out maximum power of 110 kW at 6000 rpm and peak torque of 197 Nm of 4200 rpm. The engine makes use of an EVI multi-point fuel injection. Two gearboxes are available which include a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed CVT.
Claimed fuel economy is estimated at 7.5 ℓ/100 km with the manual transmission and 7.5 ℓ/100 km for the CVT. Both models have a 63-litre tank capacity which allows for more than 800 km of travel on a single tank.

The ASX comes with advanced passive and active safety technology and is equipped with a 7-airbag system, for increased safety for every seat. The advanced RISE (Reinforced Impact Safety Evolution) Body Construction is an all-direction collision safety design. The result is improved safety for all occupants, regardless of impact direction.
