1. Two engine choices
You get to choose between a 2.5-litre turbodiesel and a 2.7-litre diesel when selecting a K-series machine. The K2700 with the 2.7-litre engine has to make do without a turbocharger and as such produces 62 kW and 168 Nm torque with a power peak at 4150 RPM. This engine is said to return a combined cycle fuel consumption of 10.7 l/100km.
The smaller of the two engines, the 2.5-litre turbodiesel, produces more and comes in at 96 kW and 255 Nm - all thanks to the turbocharger. This engine will return a combined cycle fuel consumption of 9.4 l/100km.
2. Two payload choices
Choosing an engine is one thing but if the vehicle can't carry the weight you need, what's the point? Both the K2500 and the K2700 can carry over 1000 kg. This payload ensures that you can load it up and not have to worry too much about wear and tear.
The K2500 is rated to 1000 kg while the K2700 fares a little better at 1300 kg payload.
3. Two body styles choices
While initially available with a choice of three body styles, the range has been thinned down to two primary body styles. You can choose from either the K2700 Dropside or the K2700 Tipper. The K2500 though is only available in a Dropside.
