Insights
Chery continues to rise in the South African market, stealing the crown for the best-selling Crossover in South Africa in February 2026. Pulling things back a bit, Chery sold a total of 2312 vehicles, and the Tiggo 4 Pro took the lion's share of those sales.
Haval takes the bronze home, with the Jolion selling 1108 units, accounting for the majority of GWM's 1792 total sales.
Toyota and Suzuki are still finding their alliance beneficial, with the Fronx and Starlet Cross taking silver and fifth place, respectively, with 1152 and 907 units. Also, the Corolla Cross is still a popular model with 1022 units sold. Toyota comfortably sits in the top 5 with Crossovers, and they're still the best total sales manufacturer in the country this month with 7366 units. Still, Suzuki isn't far behind with 6229 vehicles sold.
Korean brands Hyundai and Kia also have some healthy numbers in this category. The Exter was Hyundai's third-best seller, with a total of 2814 units sold. Kia's Sonet was the brand's top seller with a total of 1621 units.
Other accolades go to the Omoda C5 as Omoda's best seller, the Nissan Magnite as Nissan's best seller, and the Renault Kiger as Renault's second-best seller.
