Volkswagen Polo GTI
Next on our list is the Volkswagen Polo GTI. Like the Audi A1, the Polo GTI is a sporty little hatchback with a lot of character. In terms of performance, the current Polo GTI has identical claimed performance figures as that of the flagship Audi A1 Sportback 40TFSI S line and could be had for less.

Honda Fit
As you might have noticed, the Honda Jazz is no longer available; however, occupying that segment for Honda currently is the Fit. While in terms of performance, the Fit might only be on par with the entry-level Audi A1, the Japanese model makes up for it with frugal fuel consumption and a spacious luggage compartment. In fact, for around the same money as a mid-range new Audi A1, you can have a new flagship Honda Fit in hybrid guise.

Toyota Corolla
In 2019, Toyota changed the game when it introduced a hatchback sporting the Corolla moniker. With striking styling and a spacious cabin and luggage compartment, there is no questioning why it is a successful model for the Japanese automaker. Measuring slightly taller, longer, and wider than the Audi A1, it already seems to offer more value.
