The Lamborghini Huracán entered the market in 2014 as a replacement for the Gallardo. The mid-engine V10 sports car forms the entry-point into the Lamborghini stable, particularly when you're dead-set on a 2-seater sports model, and not the Urus SUV. Used models can be had for much less than a new one and will offer a similar kind of experience.

The Huracan was made available in three distinct, primary formats before being face-lifted in 2019. All models are powered by the same 5.2-litre V10 engine with varying power outputs and drivetrain configurations.
You were able to get the 610-4 that developed 449 kW and 560 Nm torque. This sent power to all four wheels through a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox. You had the choice of coupe or Spyder versions.
The 580-2 was a cheaper, more affordable version that did away with the all-wheel-drive system and sent power to the rear wheels only, once again through the 7-speed DCT gearbox. This model produced 427 kW and 540 Nm from the naturally aspirated V10.
Later years saw the introduction of the 640-4 and the Performante models that saw a power bump up to 471 kW and 600 Nm. As denoted by the 4, this model retained the all-wheel-drive system.
2019 update
The Huracán received an extensive makeover in 2019 and was first unveiled at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show with models hitting showroom floors later that year. Here are the five biggest changes to the updated Huracán, summarily named the Huracán Evo:
1. Power upgrade
The Huracán Evo retains the 5.2-litre V10 and sees a power bump to match the output of the previous Performante version. This means that the Evo produces 471 kW (631 hp / 640 PS) with 600 Nm on tap. It still makes use of the 7-speed DCT gearbox and will accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.9-seconds and from 0 to 200 km/h in only 9-seconds. It has a top speed of 325 km/h and will brake from 100 km/h to 0 in only 31.9-metres.
2. Driver systems
Lamborghini Dinamica Veicolo Integrata (LDVI) is a new driver system that is powered by a powerful CPU and is integrated into the Evo's dynamic systems. It allows the vehicle to access information from accelerometers and gyroscopes to provide the best driving experience and most agile handling. Part of this system is the new rear-wheel steering and torque vectoring system that improves manoeuvrability and grip levels. Furthermore, the dynamic steering program and magnetorheological suspension systems have been upgrades to complement these updates.
3. Aerodynamics
It's not just pretty looks, the Evo has been designed to be more efficient aerodynamically. The redesigned front bumper, rear bumper and particularly the underbody, have been crafted to provide the most downforce while aiding in performance and high-speed stability. This new design is said to be five times more efficient than in the previous model, all without losing that unmistakable Lamborghini style.
4. Connectivity
The Huracán Evo is fitted with an updated 8.4-inch HMI (Human-Machine Interface) with a capacitive touchscreen. This unit features Apple CarPlay and allows for multi-finger gesture control. Bundled in the system is navigation, web radio and video playback capabilities.
This unit is also the primary command centre for controlling features such as climate control, seats and the status of the LDVI.
5. Interior trim and colours
The Huracán Evo gets treated to a new interior trim with a mix of Alcantara and leather with highlights that match the new exterior paint. This exterior paint is called Arancio Xanto and is a four-layer colour. Customers will be able to choose their contrasting upholstery combinations along with forged carbon accents. The Huracan Evo also rolls on a set of new 20-inch wheels with Pirelli P-Zero tyres.
