Mercedes-AMG G 63 "Grand Edition" debuts in South Africa
Well-heeled lovers of German luxury and unadulterated power have something new to look forward to in the way of a brand new special-edition G-wagon: The G63 "Grand Edition" model, which underscores the sheer opulence and exclusivity of this much-loved performance off-roader. Of the 1000 models built, only 20 are designated for South African buyers:

What does it look like?
The "Grand Edition" model would have to look pretty special to wear this nameplate, and it does. It is painted in MANUFAKTUR night black magno, with gold embellishments that provide an eye-catching contrast. They emphasise the specific design aspects that tie the modern off-road vehicle emblem back to the initial G model of 1979.
The AMG logo, Mercedes star, and bonnet emblem are all finished in Kalaharigold magno, creating a luxurious and eye-catching effect. The 22.0-inch AMG forged wheels, with their tech gold finish and matching side foiling, further enhance the vehicle's sporty and stylish appeal.
What makes the "Grand Edition" interior special?
The Mercedes-AMG G 63 "Grand Edition" interior is a luxurious blend of black and gold accents that echoes the stunning exterior.
Upon entering, you're greeted by illuminated "AMG" emblems and sleek black door sills. The seats, upholstered in G Manufaktur black nappa leather, feature contrasting gold stitching. Gold-accented plaques and floor mats add to the opulent atmosphere. Even the roof grab handles are finished in luxurious Nappa leather. Carbon with copper thread accents throughout the interior, including the steering wheel clasp, provides a touch of sportiness.
