Verdict
The BMW X2 is available in petrol or diesel. In this instance though, the diesel offerings would be the most frugal but potent engines in the X2 bar, the M35i. However, currently, in South Africa, only petrol offerings are available. So naturally due to availability, this makes it a petrol only vehicle. Speaking of the petrol engines, if you want something less powerful, the 1.5-litre 3-cylinder found in the sDrive18i will serve you just fine, but the M35i will serve performance needs but can also be efficient if you lay off the throttle.
