Is Fiat good for families?

Fiat offers quite a variety of vehicles locally. We take a look at their range to find out if any are good for families.

Buying a Car

When considering a family car, you don't only take into consideration the size but also the safety features. Some also find out whether the standard comfort and connectivity equipment will keep the family happy during a longer trip. However, no two families are the same, and Fiat offers a wide enough variety to cater to the different needs of each.

Starting with the smallest, we will list all the Fiat models we think a family should consider from the Italian automaker.

Hatch

500

Upon first glance, you might wonder why the Fiat 500 even features on a list of family vehicles. Well despite its compact proportions, the 500 offers four seats and seven airbags for a family. While it might get a bit cramped for parents with teens, those new families that have an infant and do not require all the space for quick trips to the grandparents or the shops, the Fiat 500 will prove ample.

Tipo hatch

The Fiat Tipo hatch takes it up a notch in terms of space and practicality. Not only does it come with a larger boot than the 500, but it also has five doors. The larger proportions also mean that now you can fit as many as five occupants which makes it ideal for when you have slightly older kids. The Tipo retains ISOFIX mounting points at the rear bench and offers six airbags as standard safety equipment.

Sedan

Tipo sedan

The Fiat Tipo sedan comes with all the practical benefits of the hatchback model, however, with even more luggage space. Where you can expect around 440-litres of boot space in the hatch, the sedan comes with a very impressive 520-litres.

Crossover

500X

The Fiat 500X very much resemble the 500 models in terms of styling, however, when it comes to its dimensions and ground clearance, it is very different altogether. The crossover model offers customers five seats and five doors to go along with it. Thus if you want the styling and presence of the Fiat 500, but with a bit more practicality for family use, the 500X is exactly what you are looking for.
