A Venue for every occasion
By now, most South Africans should be familiar with the Hyundai Venue. It's the Korean carmaker's smallest, most affordable SUV and has been received with open arms by local buyers since its launch late last year. Sporting contemporary urban styling and heaps of attitude, the little turbocharged SUV has been a big success, competing with heavy-hitters such as the Renault Captur, lower-spec Volkswagen T-Cross, and the Ford EcoSport range.
For those of you who want to stand out, Hyundai has just announced that 500 Limited Edition models will be available for South Africans. These special edition derivatives will be available in Fluid and Glide trim, and available with a manual or 7-speed dual-clutch auto transmission. The Glide derivative (pictured below) is the flagship of the range, and only leaves the factory with the above-mentioned DCT gearbox. The Limited Edition model's 3-cylinder, 1.0-litre turbo-engine will be identical to the rest of the Venues in the range, delivering 88kW and 172Nm.
What sets the Venue Limited Edition apart?
Only its bespoke exterior and interior styling treatment will be setting it apart from the rest of the Venues in the Hyundai stable. The Venue Limited Edition has a striking two-tone exterior with a bright white roof and dark blue body panels. It gets 16-inch alloy wheels as standard. On the inside, it features a chic beige colour scheme complemented by partial leather/denim cloth seats.
The Limited Edition model features an 8-inch touchscreen system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functionality, but the Glide and Fluid models already had this feature as standard when the Venue launched, as well as the above-mentioned 16-inch alloys. Previously, the two-tone roof could only be specified in the top-spec *Glide models.
