In order for us to ascertain just how popular a particular car is in its segment, we have to look at how many units sell each month of the particular and compare it to similarly sized, specified and price options from other automakers. In this example, we looked at the sales figures for April 2023 for the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro, Haval Jolion, Hyundai Creta and Mitsubishi ASX.

Verdict
As can be seen in the table above, the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro is not quite as popular as the Haval Jolion, however, it has managed to shift more units than the Hyundai Creta and Mitsubishi ASX. Thus, we will consider it a relatively popular choice for the time being. However, the model could see a positive impact as more South Africans build trust in Chinese vehicles.
