Suzuki has had an impressive few years within the local market, with solid sales figures backed up by a number of new model introductions. One of the newcomers is the India-built Vitara Brezza, a compact crossover that appears to have the right sort of dimensions, price point and general market appeal to make it a success.

Model range

The Vitara Brezza consists of four derivatives starting with the 1.5 GL manual, followed by the 1.5 GL auto while the top-spec GLX models are available in both manual and automatic guise. All Vitara Brezza models are powered by the same 1.5-litre naturally aspirated engine that produces 77kW and 138Nm of torque. The gearbox options include a 5-speed manual and a 4-speed automatic, with the Japanese brand claiming a fuel consumption figure of 6.2L/100km for all models within the range.
