BAIC not only entered the local market with a variety of budget-friendly vehicles but has constructed a production plant close to Gqeberha to affirm its commitment to South Africa. But just how friendly will the X25 range be to your budget, we investigate to find out how much the estimated car repayments are.

Buying a Car

The BAIC X25 has been around locally since 2017 and offers a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder petrol motor across the range. The 85 kW and 148 Nm of torque are sent to the front wheels via either a 5-speed manual transmission or 4-speed automatic. The manual derivatives claim an average fuel consumption figure of 6.5 L / 100 km while the automatic variants return 7.2 L / 100 km.

The X25 is available in two trim levels with the entry-level model named Comfort and the fully specified derivative called Fashion. With the different trim levels and two transmission options, BAIC has four X25 derivatives on offer, each with its own unique price. Using the free AutoTrader Car Finance Calculator, we calculate the estimated monthly repayment on each of the four variants.
