How much are car repayments on a Mercedes-AMG C-Class Cabriolet?

Got an eye on a new or used Mercedes-AMG C-Class drop-top? AutoTrader's car finance calculator can help you to establish whether you can afford one or not.

Buying a Car

Firstly, let's talk pricing...

There are only two AMG-fettled C-Class Cabriolets in the line-up: The Mercedes-AMG C43 Cabriolet 4Matic at R1 481 095, and the meatier Mercedes-AMG C63 S Cabriolet, at R 2 192 706. These are the latest prices.

What influences my monthly repayment?

Your monthly repayment amount depends on many factors. Are you putting a deposit down or trading your existing car in? What is your existing car's book value? What about residual value? (Also known as a balloon payment, we don't recommend this at all, as this is a costly option!) And, over how many months will you be paying off your car?

Let's have a go at this...

Okay, so for the purpose of this exercise we've entered the less expensive Mercedes-AMG C43 Cabriolet, at R 1 185 030, into our finance calculator. We're not putting down a deposit, not opting for a balloon payment, and we're paying the car off over a 60-month period. This works out to an eye-watering R32 203 per month. Total interest is a whopping R451 061 — that's basically another new, well-specified car. Ouch! The total instalment excluding deposit and residual works out to R 1 510 703,12. Click here to go to our Car Finance Calculator.

Are there other options to buying a car?

Instead of buying a car, have you considered leasing one? There are quite a few pros to leasing instead of buying, including budget-friendlier repayments...
