We take a look at seating options in one of SA's most glamorous new SUVs; the BAIC Beijing X55.

Buying a Car

The BAIC Beijing X55 is exactly what SA's buying public has been waiting for: An inexpensive, ultra-fashionable and feature-filled compact SUV. It competes in the same segment and price range as the Toyota Corolla Cross, Haval Jolion, Mazda CX-3, Volkswagen T-Cross, Ford EcoSport, Hyundai Venue and even the Suzuki Jimny, to name a few competitors.

It has been very well received by local media and we've covered the BAIC Beijing X55 at length in the following articles - see below:

But, let's get back to the original question of seating: How many people can the BAIC Beijing X55 transport in one go? The answer is five, comfortably. There are also rear air vents to keep the passengers on the second row cool and USB ports can be found in the front as well as the rear. There are also ISOFIX anchorage points on the outer rear seats.

Rear legroom, elbowroom and headroom are said to be very decent, while the boot is capable of swallowing 350 litres.
