Is the Toyota GR Yaris a good car?

The Toyota GR Yaris brings back the heydays of 1980s and 1990s sports Toyota road cars homologated for the World Rally Championship. With the GR Yaris, you can expect an over-engineered vehicle that will bring a smile to your face.

Who is the Toyota GR Yaris a good car for?

The Toyota GR Yaris is a good car for someone who wants an analogue pocket rocket that's great to drive on the streets and great to drive on the racetrack whilst being bulletproof.

Is the Toyota GR Yaris a good first car?

The GR Yaris isn't a good first car as it's a highly-strung performance car and it's unlikely that you can even get insurance for it as a new driver.

Is the Toyota GR Yaris a good family car?

Not quite. The GR Yaris is a 2-door sports hatch, and even with rear seats, getting in and out of the rear may be difficult for some. Also, the boot area is rather small at 141 litres of capacity.

Is there a Hybrid Toyota GR Yaris?

At the moment, there's no hybrid version of the GR Yaris.

Interior

What is the Toyota GR Yaris like inside?

The Toyota GR Yaris is a fit-for-purpose interior with easily reachable and operable controls nestled within abstract flowing shapes in the cabin. This is all wrapped up in soft-touch materials and the crown jewels being the perfectly sized leather-wrapped steering wheel and supportive GR bucket seats. Just what the driver needs.

Style

The GR Yaris is compactly presented. Short overhangs and a broad stance illustrate agility. The front fascia is aggressively presented with scowling headlights and massive functional air dams. The side profile shows off a sleek and low roof and sea urchin quill-style wheels. The rear comprises a wide stance with large fenders. There are also angular taillights nestled within a gloss black trim bar.
