The Suzuki Dzire is a great car for new drivers, pensioners, or anyone looking for a small, affordable and manoeuvrable car with a bit of boot space.

Is the Suzuki Dzire a good first car?

Yes, the Dzire is a good first car, especially from a budget-oriented perspective. It's very light on fuel, cheap to service and easy to drive. It has ABS brakes with brake assist and a full-sized spare wheel. Two airbags are standard across the board. Most impressively, stability control was also added to all models. Is the Suzuki Dzire a good family car?

It's perfect for small families (of two to four people) who need a practical little runabout with enough boot space for the kids' school bags and other paraphernalia. A small stroller should fit inside the Dzire's boot, but before you buy, take your baby buggy or pram along to the dealership to make sure it fits. There are ISOFIX anchorage points on the outer rear seats for the kiddie seats.

 

Is there a Hybrid Dzire?

No. All South African models are fitted with a 1.2-litre, naturally aspirated engine, along with a five-speed manual transmission or a four-speed automatic gearbox.

Tech & features

GL models have Bluetooth, USB port, a 12-V power socket in the front and rear. All models have remote central locking and electric windows in the front and rear. GL models also have electric-adjustable side mirrors. A heated rear screen is standard across the board.
