The majority of new drivers today have taken a liking to automatic transmissions so does the new Exter have an auto option?
Is the Hyundai Exter good for new drivers?
Auto option
The Exter offers a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed automatic manual gearbox, also known as an 'AMT' transmission. AMTs are essentially a conventional manual transmission equipped with automatic actuation to operate the clutch and shift gears. An AMT offers a compromise between manual and automatic transmissions. It offers the convenience of automatic shifting at the cost of reduced smoothness and slower response times. If you prefer not to "row your own," then the AMT is the option for city-bound individuals who live in traffic.
