Are JMC good first cars?

Workhorse utility

JMC is one of the largest Chinese commercial vehicle builders and has a range of utility vehicles that will suit anyone who has a small business. With these vehicles built to task, they may not be ideally suited for use by first-time drivers.

We take a look at what JMC currently offers and if there is any scope for new drivers to get in on the act.

Commercial vehicles

The bulk of JMC's lineup is commercial vehicles such as their small trucks and workhorse bakkies. Unless you are a new driver that is buying a vehicle for use within a small business venture then these are not suited to a new driver at all.

Passenger

The only passenger vehicle currently on offer from JMC is the Landwind mid-size SUV. The Landwind is a spacious and versatile vehicle that would suit a new driver that already has a family to move around. They are well-equipped and stylish but somewhat heavier on fuel due to an older engine borrowed from Mitsubishi. The size of the Landwind may also deter new drivers that may not need all the space.
