BMW recently unveiled the updated 3 Series. While for the most part, it still resembles the 3 Series that arrived in 2019, the new iteration has quite a few stylistic as well as functional enhancements. On the exterior, the headlamps and kidney grill are thinner, more like the 4 Series, and a new front bumper, as well as a rear bumper design, has been added.
The interior also received a comprehensive update and now features a large curved display. Behind the steering wheel and as part of this display, there is a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster while more central features a 14.9-inch digital infotainment screen. This has seen many other areas inside the cabin revised to accommodate the new style and features.

But for now, we will be looking at practical accessories that BMW 3 Series owners should consider. If you don't yet have your own Bavarian sedan, why not search for new or used BMW 3 Series models on AutoTrader, and if you find the one you want, you can always get an Instant Offer on your current vehicle.
1. Backrest bag
The backrest bag is a fairly simple accessory but one that is very handy. Offering a variety of storage compartments, the owner or their kids can use this item to stow anything from books to water bottles to small devices. This will ensure that those items do not roll around while driving.
2. Advanced Car Eye 2.0
The Advanced Car Eye 2.0 might just look like a branded dash camera, except this one is quite clever in that it not just captures the journeys of the car, but also when the car is not in operation. What is meant by that, is that when the camera at the rear or at the front of the vehicle detects unusual movements it will automatically start recording. The same happens if the vehicle is touched or rather shaken by someone attempting the break into the vehicle.
3. Universal holder for tablets with BMW safety case
If you are a parent or guardian and regularly drive with the children in the back seats, you might know the struggles of keeping the kids entertained, especially on longer journeys. Well, the next accessory might just help a bit. This universal tablet holder and safety case is optimized to securely hold a wide range of tablets from 7-inch to 11-inch from makers such as Apple or Samsung. The angle of the screen can be rotated or tilted for the best view too.
4. Protective rear cover
Speaking of occupants in the rear seats, what if you safely want to transport your pets without getting dirt from their paws or shredded hair on the seats? BMW can supply customers with a rear cover that protects pets or any luggage items for that matter, and even prevents them from falling into the rear footwells.
5. Roof box
What about some extra luggage space? If you don't need the additional space that can be provided with a trailer but still need just enough for a few bags, then perhaps a roof box will tick that box. There are three distinct sizes available, 320-,420- and 520-litres respectively and can be opened from either side. All three iterations are compatible with all BMW roof rack systems
