Nissan is one of South Africa's longest operating brands and has serviced the South African consumer with a number of models for decades. There are a great deal of Nissan vehicles out there and they change hands regularly and if you purchase a Nissan Almera within the manufacturer's official warranty period, you will receive the balance of that warranty cover transferred to you.
Should you buy your Nissan outside of the warranty period you may want to consider an alternative form of cover.

The Nissan Almera carries their 6 year / 150 000 manufacturer warranty and covers the following:
- Protects your vehicle against the failure of most mechanical and electrical components due to manufacturing defects.
- Paintwork on your Nissan is covered against material and manufacturing defects for the warranty period.
- The internal body sections and panels of your Nissan are covered against corrosion.
- Warranty begins at date of first registration.
The warranty does NOT cover the following:
- Misuse, accident, theft or fire
- Use of improper or dirty fuel, fluids or lubricants.
- Lack of performance of proper maintenance service
- Use of non-genuine Nissan parts.
- Alteration, tampering or improper repair.
- Glass breakage, unless resulting from defects in material or workmanship.
- Normal wear or tear, including dings, dents, chips or scratches.
- Stone chipping, chemical fallout (acid rain), tree sap, salt, hail, wind/sandstorm, lighting, flood or other environmental conditions
- Repairs not performed by an authorised Nissan dealer.
- Engine tune-up
- Cleaning and polishing
- Wheel balancing and alignment
- Headlight aiming
- Replacement of filters
- Windshield wiper inserts
- Key fob batteries
- Light bulbs
- Spark plugs
- Distributor points
- Drive belts
- Lubricants and cooling
- Worn brake shoes, pads, drums and rotors
- Worn clutch discs.
