The current generation Audi S4 was introduced in late 2017, and currently represents the top-of-the-range sedan model in the A4 range. The even more potent RS4 model is only available here in Avant (estate car) form.
The S4 is all about sporting elegance, and although Audi does offer accessories that can visually alter the appearance of the S4, to our mind the clean lines of the S4 are best left absolutely factory-stock. This will be equally true when it comes time to trade in your S4 on a new model.
A facelift is due sometime this year
With new model introductions put on hold for the time being, Audi official literature informs us that the face-lifted A4 and S4, which has some quite striking changes, is now due here in the second half of 2020. Until then, we have drafted up a list of accessories that won’t alter the looks of your current S4, but will enhance your Audi ownership experience.
These take the form of practical add-ons to preserve the good looks of your Audi, as well as some safety items, and some very chic, if rather pricey, lifestyle accessories. 1. Audi floor mats.
These come in sets for the front or the rear occupants. The items we have selected are of the durable plastic variety, which are 100 per cent recyclable and easily washed off. To our mind these make more sense than the smarter-looking textile mats, which are also available, but tend to show signs of wear much more quickly. Like the textile mats, these plastic mats can be securely fastened to the floor of the S4, and they have a non-slip raised pattern on the back.
2. Audi quattro golf umbrella.
This is a very high-quality golf umbrella. It features a so-called “quattro-tread” handle and stylish white shaft, with the fabric shield in striking black with a quattro logo.
3. Audi Sportbag.
This is a high-quality item made of durable materials. It features a removable shoulder strap and two handles, and the YKK zip pull is made of knotted cord. It features a padded base with one large compartment and two side pockets., as well as an inner pocket which can be sealed with a zip. The Audi Sport logo is printed in bold letters on the front.
4. Audi Quattro shoulder bag
This is an expensive, high-quality shoulder bag made from water-proof materials that don’t contain any PVC. The bag is made from 100 % polyamide. It has very high quality metal buckles and several compartments for easy item location. There is also a padded compartment for a water bottle. The quattro logo is subtly imprinted on the front flap in the same muted grey colour as the bag. The shoulder straps have felt shoulder pads.
5. Audi first aid kit
This is a very reasonably-priced compact first aid kit. It features items carefully selected to manage cuts and abrasions and for the treatment of other minor ailments that may be encountered on your journey. Due to its compact size it can be stowed in the boot or inside the passenger compartment.
6. Warning triangle
This is a very handy and safety-orientated warning triangle that should be stowed in the luggage compartment of the S4. It features fold-out stainless steel legs that enable it to be easily erected to warn others of any hazard that may be encountered.
