New Lexus IS to debut soon
The new 2021 Lexus IS countdown has officially begun for South Africa, with the first right-hand-drive market releasing details of their debut in Australia recently. Lexus South Africa’s first stock is set to arrive and launch in the first quarter of next year. The local line-up for the re-imagined new Lexus IS sports sedan will comprise three model derivatives, delivering a new level of luxury as standard in addition to a core focus on evocative design, imaginative technology and leading driving dynamics.
Straight-six performance and electric superchargers for Range Rover Sport
The Range Rover Sport is now available in South Africa with a new in-line six-cylinder 3.0-litre petrol engine in a choice of two outputs. The mild hybrid engines enhance performance, refinement and responses along with improved fuel economy. The new six-cylinder unit has an innovative combination of advanced features, including the introduction of an electric supercharger to deliver immediate power response. Able to spool fully in just 0.5 seconds at up to 6,500rpm to maximum boost pressure, the new technology virtually eliminates turbo lag.
Spec updates for Corolla hatched announced
First launched in 2019, the Toyota Corolla Hatch ushered in a new chapter for Corolla, one where arresting good looks, a dynamic drive and unrivaled refinement featured in the key notes. In March 2020, the Toyota Safety Sense (TSS) active safety suite was added to the flagship Xr model as part of Toyota’s continued TSS roll-out strategy and now we are pleased to announce further product enhancements in line with market requests.
New Spec updates will include 18' directional alloy wheels, new-generation infotainment system featuring Apple Car Play and Android Auto and four bi-tone colours are on offer; Satin Silver, Fierce Red, Caribbean Blue and newly added Platinum White Pearl, all combined with a black-metallic roof for maximum visual impact.
