Nissan Africa, Middle East and India (AMI) today unveiled a comprehensive four-year strategy for the region under the company’s Global Transformation Plan. AMI will follow the global transformation strategy, announced last month by Chief Executive Officer, Makoto Uchida, which aims to achieve sustainable growth, financial stability and profitability by the end of fiscal-year 2023.
Land Rover Defender means business as Hard Top returns.
Land Rover has confirmed the new commercial Defender 90 and 110 models will restore the Hard Top name to its rugged 4x4 family. The versatile and durable Defender Hard Top will be launched later this year, combining unstoppable all-terrain capability with 21st-century connectivity to give professionals a unique combination of cargo space, practicality and premium comfort.
The New Defender 90 and 110 Hard Tops are not planned for introduction in South Africa. Land Rover South Africa has reviewed the potential for introduction of the models and is confident that the mix of New Defender 90 and 110 models scheduled for introduction will fulfil the needs of our customers.
Suzuki Retail Pricing announced.
Suzuki has had multiple finalists in the AutoTrader Car of the Year competition and it's Swift and Jimny models were category winners in the 2019 Car of the Year competition. In support of its growing client base, this Japanese compact vehicle specialist is continuing to open new dealerships, now standing at 62, including dealerships in Namibia, Botswana and Eswatini and franchise dealers in rural areas across Southern Africa. The Japanese automaker has just announced its new retail pricing for 2020/21.

Volkswagen Motorsport SA unveils new GTC race car.
The old adage of "Race on Sunday - Sell on Monday" has never rung more true. Volkswagen Motorsport SA has unveiled their brand new GTC race car for the 2020/2021 season.
Volkswagen Motorsport's new GTC racing car is built using the Golf 8 GTI body. In the GTC series, all vehicles have to adhere to strict control measures which feature a common chassis, running gear, a single ECU to control performance, tyres, suspension and other components. New features in the Golf 8 GTI racing car include an all-new chrome-moly tubular chassis which is much stiffer and lighter than the previous generation GTC car.
In a global first, these are the only GTC Golf 8 race cars in the world, currently.
