The Suzuki Ertiga is one of the least-expensive 7-seaters on the market and is a little people-mover that is full of surprises.
Despite having a non-turbo petrol engine that only displaces 1.5-litres and produces 77 kW, its performance is very useable even at Highveld altitudes. The reason for this is that it is extremely light for a 7-seater, the un-laden weight being only 1 130 kg.
Pricing is excellent, starting at R218 900 for the entry model and topping out at R284 900 for the most expensive automatic GLX.

Replacing the wiper blades on a Suzuki Ertiga
Fitting new wiper blades to the Suzuki Ertiga is easy once you understand how the blade is mounted on the wiper arm. Note that the Suzuki’s wiper arms are of the u-hook type, which means the blade is removed from the wiper arm in the opposite direction to the one might initially assume.
Obviously you should ensure that you have purchased the correct replacement blades for your car. Compare the new blades to the old ones before starting the removal job.
Here is out step by step guide to removal and refitting.
1.Begin the job with the driver’s side wiper blade. Flip the spring-loaded arm up away from the windscreen and examine the arm carefully while the old blade is still in place. Swivel the blade up on the arm, so you can see how it is attached to the arm.
2.Note that the blade is attached to the end of the wiper arm on a hook that forms the end of the arm. To remove the old blade (and attach the new one), the blade has to slide off the end of the hook on the arm. The blade does NOT slide off the top of the arm, but back away to the base of the arm, because it is mounted on a hook. Here we show you the wiper arm hook once the blade has already been removed, so you can understand how it works.
3.At this stage the blade has still to be removed. Locate the tiny clip that retains the blade on the arm. This clip is all-but hidden inside the swivel housing on the top of the blade. Using your index finger or thumb-nail, push this clip upwards, and keeping the clip pushed in, slide the old blade downwards. Make sure to support the wiper arm with your other hand so that it does not bend.
4.The Blade is now removed by pulling the blade downwards and off the end of the hook.
5.The new blade is now ready to be slid onto the end of the wiper arm hook and upwards.
6.The new blade should be pushed upwards until the catch clicks home. Test that it is secured by gently tugging on it to see that there is no movement.
7.The same procedure is used on the passenger-side wiper.
8.Once both new blades are fitted, activate the windscreen washer and the wiper switch to see that they work properly.
