According to Finance Minister Enoch Godongwana, the R3.00 per litre rebate will remain in effect until June 2. This extension aims to buffer consumers against potential price hikes at the pumps for the coming month.

Furthermore, diesel users are set to receive significant additional support. The Treasury confirmed that those utilising 50ppm diesel will benefit from a further subsidy of nearly R4.00 per litre.

This targeted assistance to the logistics and agricultural sectors is expected to help mitigate the rising costs of transport and food production, which are heavily dependent on diesel.

Key Takeaways:

General Fuel Rebate: R3.00 per litre extension.

• Diesel 50ppm Support: Additional relief of nearly R4.00 per litre.

• Expiry Date: The current measures are valid until June 2, 2026.
