More bad news at the pumps this March!

Amid ever-increasing financial pressure on consumers, there appears to be yet another fuel price increase coming in March 2024. Here's what we know.

Local consumers can expect the fuel price to nudge closer to the record highs of July 2022 when the price of all grades increases in March 2024. With 95 octane petrol is set to increase by R1.35 per litre, 93 octane is expected to climb by R1.31 per litre, diesel by between R1.43 per litre and R1.59 per litre and illuminating paraffin by 96cents a litre.

International oil prices play a significant role in the expected fuel increases, and, to a lesser extent, the Rand/US Dollar exchange rate contributes marginally.
