How to replace a lightbulb on a Mahindra TUV300

We show you how to replace the headlight bulb in a Mahindra TUV300

Light the way

Indian automaker Mahindra, has made a name for themselves offering tough and utilitarian vehicles and have taken this reputation a step further by now offering crossovers and mid-size SUVs. The TUV and XUV make excellent use of the entry level components and tough as nails build quality to offer a budget conscious buyer a vehicle that can take them where they need to go in relative style. Some entry level components are items such as headlight bulbs, the H9 style is low tech and when these do eventually go out they will need to be replaced.

When this happens the replacement is relatively easy and can be done in about 15 minutes for both sides with minimal tools required.

 

 

You will need:

  • Replacement H9 bulbs of the correct size and wattage
  • Soft cloth

 

 

Let's get it done

 

1. Open the bonnet

 

2. Locate the rear of the headlight housing and twist to remove the bulb cover

 

3. Remove wiring plug

 

4. Depress the retaining clip to remove the bulb

 

5. Replace bulb making sure to align the pins

 

6. Reassemble in reverse order
