Newer-style LED headlights do have a longer lifespan than older Halogen units and you can expect your halogen bulbs to last at least a few years, but you will eventually need to replace them as they burn out. It is a relatively easy task to perform, and you can do it right in your driveway in a few minutes without any tools needed.
You will need:
- New bulbs for your year model
- Soft cloth
Let's get it done!
1. Open the bonnet.
2. Locate the rear of the headlight assembly.
3. Locate the bulb
4. Remove the electrical plug.
5. Rotate and remove the bulb
6. Replace in reverse order
9. Test that the bulbs are working correctly.
PRO TIP: DO NOT touch the glass area on the new bulbs as oils on your skin can contaminate the glass. If you do touch the glass make sure to wipe it down with a soft cloth before fully installing the globe.
If you are replacing one globe you may as well replace the other as side as well as the lifespans of the bulbs are more or less the same.
