Final round of GR Cup headed to Zwartkops!

It's hard to believe that we've reached the end of the 2024 South African national motorsport season, but this coming weekend, Zwartkops Raceway will play host to the very last GR Cup race of 2024!

The local motorsport season is coming to an end, with the final round of the National Extreme Festival taking place at Zwartkops Raceway on October 19th. It's a bittersweet moment as I reflect on an amazing season, but I realise it's coming to an end soon. The championship is in the bag, but I still want to perform to the best of my ability!

One more time

I'm under no illusion that my moment as a driver in the national motorsport realm is ending this weekend. It has been an absolute honour and a privilege to tour the country with some of our best talent! I've felt every bit the works racing driver despite not possessing the near-the-sort of talent usually associated with one. This coming weekend, we have our last chance to experience the rush of racing in front of a packed Zwartkops Raceway while representing the brand I work for.

F1 enters the GR chat

The recent announcement that Toyota Gazoo Racing (TGR) and MoneyGram Haas F1 Team have entered into a technical partnership regarding vehicle development and collaborative efforts is great news for the motorsport world! According to the brand:

Through this partnership, the two sides aim to contribute to the development of the automotive industry by creating an environment in which young Japanese drivers, engineers, and mechanics can gain experience and grow in the FIA Formula One World Championship (F1), the pinnacle of motorsports.
