Automotive News

Compact panel vans offer a way to get your business out and about, on the road and making money. Whether it's for transporting good or offering a mobile service, a panel van or cargo vehicle will ensure that you're ready to hit the road at a moments notice.

While this sector of the automotive landscape isn't exactly littered with options, you can still choose from a few very capable machines that are all based on common underpinnings, meaning that spares availability won't be a concern.

Verdict

While all three offerings are very similarly specced, it's the Opel Combo Cargo that has the best selection of features. The VW is fitted with some wonderful driving aides but when it comes to the things you interact with on a daily basis, it's the Opel that comes out on top. The Opel also has the most extensive warranty and the best fuel consumption of the three. Its purchase price of R319 000 is also right in the middle and perfectly acceptable.
