Valentino Rossi, the legendary nine-time motorcycle world champion and current BMW M works driver, is celebrating his 46th birthday with a special gift from BMW M—the BMW M4 CS Edition VR46. The model is produced at the BMW Group Plant in Dingolfing and will be available in two design variants: Sport and Style. Rossi was directly involved in the design process, and just 46 units of this special edition will be built worldwide, each proudly featuring the iconic number 46 on the doors and carbon-fibre roof.

Purchasing a BMW M4 CS Edition VR46 gets you an exclusive meet-and-greet with Valentino Rossi at his VR46 Motor Ranch in Tavullia, Italy, followed by a BMW M Driving Experience at the Misano circuit.
Design
The BMW M4 CS Edition VR46 includes BMW Individual paint options and unique exterior and interior touches inspired by Rossi.
- Sport: Finished in Marina Bay Blue metallic, with a Tanzanite Blue metallic 46 on the doors.
- Style: Features Frozen Tanzanite Blue metallic, with a Frozen Marina Bay Blue metallic 46.
- Yellow M kidney grille outline, brake callipers, and accent strip—all inspired by Rossi’s signature colours.
- The carbon-fibre roof is hand-painted with a VR46 logo and Rossi’s signature.
Inside, the M Carbon bucket seats are finished in Merino leather Black/Night Blue with Sao Paulo Yellow Alcantara inserts. The VR46 logo appears on the headrests, door sills, and carbon-fibre centre console, which also features a “1/46” badge.
Performance
The 3.0-litre six-cylinder engine produces 405kW/650Nm. The M xDrive system and an eight-speed M Steptronic gearbox send power to all four wheels. The car can go from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds and has a top speed of 302 km/h.
Chassis Tuning
The BMW M4 CS Edition VR46 features a track-tuned adaptive M suspension, electromechanical M Servotronic steering, a model-specific braking system and a titanium rear silencer.
10 Units Headed to South Africa
South Africa will receive just 10 units of the BMW M4 CS Edition VR46, with deliveries beginning in Q3 2025.
