AutoTrader Goes Racing | Episode 10 - the final showdown
The final round of the 2023 Toyota Gazoo Racing Cup brought all the excitement and thrills one has come to expect from the one-make series. The race was on for second place with Chad Luckhoff in contention, if only Lady Luck would show favour.
They say that time flies when you're having fun. When you get the opportunity to race a brand new car in what is essentially a 'works drive', it passes at an alarming rate. What started as an exciting prospect at the start of the year has become an adventure barre none. But as all things have to come to an end, so does the 2023 Toyota GR Cup.

On the back of a somewhat successful 6th round in Cape Town, the field returned to Zwartkops Raceway in Pretoria for the 7th and final round of the championship. With the championship decided early, and Setshaba Mashigo crowned the 2023 Toyota GR Cup GR86 champion, the battle would now trickle down as four contenders fought it out for second place in the championship, separated by only the narrowest of margins. In front of a home crowd and at a track that is familiar to all the competitors, the racing action was guaranteed to be fierce.
