8 things we love about the Ford Ranger Tremor
Ford is well known for having a number of special edition models that sport a host of features not found on base models. The Tremor would seemingly be one of these but is, in fact, going to be a permanent feature, becoming a global marque. Here are our 8 favourite features on the Ford Ranger Tremor.
Best version so far
As we enter the third month of our long-term test of the Ford Ranger Tremor and every team member has had the chance to spend some time with what could be argued as being the best of all worlds in the Ranger lineup, we had a sit down during lunch and had a hotly debated discussion as the best features of the Tremor.

We compiled our list after much discussion and a thrown french fry or two. Below are our eight favourite features and why we chose them. Naturally, these are not exhaustive, as the Ranger Tremor has plenty more to offer, but these are just the best of the many features.
Ford Ranger 2.0 BiTurbo double cab Tremor 4WD (2024) Review
1. Tremor Logo
Set in blazing orange, the Tremor logo has been emblazoned onto every flat surface Ford could find. On the tailgate and rear quarter panels, you will find 3D renderings of the logo. Inside, you will immediately see it embroidered onto the bright orange seat backs and scattered around the interior in "Easter egg" locations.
2. Rubberised load bin
The spacious load bin has also been rubber lined to protect it from gear related to an active lifestyle. From camping equipment to dirt bikes and bicycles, the load bay is now protected from everything that can scratch.
3. Wildtrak-esque infotainment
The Ford 12.0-inch SYNC 4 infotainment system, which includes off-road screens and a front-facing camera, is mounted squarely in the dash. It is wirelessly Apple CarPlay and Android Auto ready, and the sound reproduction is fantastic.
4. Bilstein Suspension
A set of Bilstein Position-Sensitive Dampers rests in the corners to provide a hardier setup for serious off-road challenges. They raise the ride height by 24 mm and the track by 30 mm. Combined with the sensible 17-inch alloy wheels and standard fitment General Grabber AT tyres in a 265/70R17 size, the Tremor is ready for adventure straight out of the box.
5. Vinyl flooring
The carpets have been replaced with hard-wearing and water-resistant vinyl. While this may sound like a detraction, it's ideal for a vehicle with this intended usage, allowing one to hose out the interior to get rid of dirt and mud.
6. Powertrain
The 2.0-litre BiTurbo diesel engine powers the Tremor, producing 154kW and 500Nm. It's paired with the 10-speed automatic gearbox and AWD system. Although it's heavy on fuel, you will never be left wanting for power to get you out of a sticky situation.
7. Offroad protection
The underbody of the Tremor is safeguarded with a steel front bash plate, underbody protection, transfer case guard, and fuel tank bash plate.
8. Rock Crawl mode
Complementing the suspension is a host of additional features. Rock Crawl mode, as is trail control, is added to the AWD system, a cruise control for off-road situations that will allow the Ranger Tremor to modulate the throttle as you focus on the steering when off-road.
