While many of Ferrari's achievements around the world are well documented, few will know just how prominent the Italian marque was in South African motorsport. The author, Denis Klopper, came together with the team behind Pablo Clark Racing, as well as local photographers and owners of private collections, to create this book detailing the history of Ferrari racing in South Africa.

Together with an entire team, Denis Klopper compiled photos and information spanning 70 years of Ferrari race cars competing on Southern African soil. This is for the World Endurance Series, GT3, and even historic Formula 1 cars. Although the book places more emphasis on images and illustrations, it offers a range of valuable information, including comprehensive race results, event histories, technical specifications, vehicle chassis numbers, historical driver line-ups, and personal stories and anecdotes.

The book starts with the debut of Ferraris in the region in 1955 and carries through to modern racing efforts. It features over 650 images, carefully curated and credited and with captions in English and Italian, many of which have never been seen by the public. The rich, previously untold history of the Scuderia’s racing legacy across the region is captured in unprecedented detail over 384 pages in a large-format edition measuring 300 mm x 240 mm.

The book, which is dedicated to the late Giorgio Cavalieri (1947–2020), a central figure in Ferrari's history in South Africa, also pays tribute to the drivers and their engineers as well as pivotal individuals that helped shape Ferrari's success in Southern Africa as well as how SEFAC (the Southern Equatorial Ferrari Automobile Club) and Pablo Clark Racing amongst others are continuing these efforts.
