4 Things You Need To Know When Buying Used Cars For Sale In Cape Town.
This week we spoke to Althaf from Cruzn Motors in Cape Town to get his 5 top tips for anyone looking to buy a used car.
1. When is the best time to buy a used car?
“We have a thing in the car industry, the first person who buys a new car takes a bath and the second one takes a shower. So you let the first guy take his bath and you take the shower.”
2. Is mileage more important than age, or is age more important than mileage when purchasing a used car?
“That is a tricky question for me. You know when you are in bed and don't move you get bedsores. Young people don’t get bedsores, because they move around. If you have a car that basically just went around the block and had low mileage that’s it, age is definitely better than mileage"
4. Is it true that it’s cheaper to buy a car with cash?
“When you're paying cash it is cheaper, better than finance. When you get the commission, the BIC and the customer are saving money.”
5. What are your final tips for anyone looking to buy a used car in Cape Town?
“Generally when you're buying a used car, you need to know the service and know it's trustworthy. I'll also say check full spray work like you do your Silversea speed, check the checks and balances like how we as dealers do."
