3 extras you should fit on a new Maserati Levante

We go shopping to find the top three extras you need to fit on your new Maserati Levante.

Automotive News

The Maserati Levante was first introduced to the market during 2017 and has since become a popular performance SUV with the discerning buyer. Combining SUV capabilities with the sportscar characteristics, the Levante competes with the best-of-the-best in the luxury SUV segment. Upfront customers can opt for a V6 diesel motor or either a V6 or V8, Ferrari-developed, petrol engine.

Regardless which of the 11 derivatives the customer chooses, whether it be the standard Levante or the performance-oriented Trofeo, Maserati offers a host of extras you can fit to bolster the ownership experience. Although the Italian automaker provides for a wide variety of extras ranging from stylistic upgrades to safety items, we will be narrowing it down to the top three items.

1. Roof box

If you are planning to use the Levante for its intended use, travelling all over the countryside in style, then you might need to consider adding some luggage space. Although the Levante already provide owners with 580-litres of luggage space in the boot, you might pick up a few memorable items throughout your trips. Adding a lightweight roof box will gain owners an extra 410-litres of luggage space.

The roof box will also keep luggage safe from the elements while the sleek design cuts through the air efficiently. The roof box also keeps items secure with two locks and makes loading easy as it can be opened from either side.

2. Universal tablet holder

There is no question that as the driver, you will be having a lot of fun piloting the Levante but how about the rear occupants. Well, Maserati has developed a clever universal tablet holder which is finished with black soft-touch material and silk-screened with the Maserati logo in silver-grey. The tablet holders are installed to the headrests of the front seats and allow rear occupants to consume content hands-free.

Even if the tablets are removed and stowed away, the holders can be left in place as they do not intrude on the space of the rear occupants. It should be noted that these holders are not compatible with the optional sport seats.

3. Towbar mounted bike carrier

Healthy body, healthy mind. If this is one of your mantras, then you might want to be able to exercise wherever you travel to. Maserati has thought about this and developed an easy to use and install bike carrier. The bike carrier attaches to the towbar of the Levante and is large enough to carry up to three bicycles. For peace of mind, it incorporates a double locking system which locks down the carrier as well as the bikes.

While it might appear to impair your ability to access luggage in the boot, just press on the pedal on the bike carrier and it will tilt away from the vehicle to allow you to open the tailgate and access the luggage compartment.
