Originally built by Jan Smit Staalwerke in Pretoria North, very few original SANI’s were built. A new company was founded and the factory moved to Pietermaritzburg. Here, the one-tonner pickups from Nissan were delivered sans load bin from the factory in Rosslyn and then had a fibre glass rear-end fitted.
