CMC (China Motor Corporation) was established in June of 1969 and is an automaker based in Taipei, Taiwan. It had signed a technical collaboration contract with Mitsubishi Motors Corporation in 1970. They worked on building the Yang-Mei plant and opened their first manufacturing facility in 1973. They began with production of 300 units a month but due to rapid growth it hit its 100,000 vehicle mark in 1983.
